Why I Got Into Real Estate

The best part of being in sales is building new relationships and friendships with others and having fun🤝😊. Well, here’s a little bit about me so you know me better.

My name is Colin Voerding. I’m a licensed realtor with Coldwell Banker Realty at the St Paul Highland Park Office 🏢. I’m a full-time realtor and I love the independence of being a business owner 💼✨. I was drawn to Real Estate after a chance encounter that resulted in my mother-in-law selling her lake home 🏡 to the aunt of a friend of mine.

I’ve been working in sales since graduating college 🎓. I’ve been a licensed realtor since 2018 🗓️. What I’ve always enjoyed most is building relationships and helping people meet and exceed their needs 🌟. Whether it’s the excitement of buying a first home 🏠 or the bittersweet experience of selling a family home filled with memories 💖📦, these personal journeys are incredibly meaningful to me. When I’m invited to share in these experiences, I find my work truly fulfilling 🙏.

I grew up in the Mac Groveland neighborhood of St Paul and have lived and worked all over the Twin Cities 🌆. We found our way back to Mac Groveland in 2015 where my wife and I currently live. We have 3 kids in the area and a 4th in Western Wisconsin 🏞️

In my free time, I like to hunt, fish, or just get out and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. I like to write poetry ✍️. I’ve got one I wrote for my wife back in 2015. It’s called Listening Quiet:

“I heard the talking through the leaves 🍃
I couldn’t quite catch their scene
So I opened the screen and their conversation stopped.”

I’m glad that she likes that one 🥰. It’s one of my favorites too.

In addition to writing poetry, I like to write song lyrics 🎶 and use my harmonica skills to try to set them to music 🎵. I have a black belt in Tae Kwon Do 🥋 and I love all martial arts. I always have a good dad joke at the ready 😄 and my wife is happy to have a husband that loves to vacuum 🧹 — now that’s no joke…
